A brief Introduction of JGS Health Care Initiatives and Its Objects and Functions.
"To actively contribute to the social and economic development of the communities in which we operate. In doing so, build a better, sustainable way of life for the weaker sections of society and raise the country's human development index." - Mr. Krishna Gopal Jhalani, Director - JGS Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.
'What is that life worth which cannot bring comfort to others?'
- Vaidh Shri Ramdayal Jhalani, JGS Healthcare Pvt. Ltd.
For growth to be responsible, it should go beyond numbers... It should do well to the society, create a better world. That's the kind of growth that JGS Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. believes in, and constantly strives for.
Before Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) found a place in corporate lexicon, it was already textured into our systems. As early as the 1980s, our father Vaidh Shri Ramdayal Jhalani espoused the trusteeship concept of management. With regard to CSR, this means investing part of our profits beyond business, for the larger good of society.
While carrying forward this philosophy, our legendary leader, Mr. Krishna Gopal Jhalani, weaved in the concept of 'sustainable livelihood'. In his view, it was unwise to keep on giving endlessly. Instead, he felt that channelising resources to ensure that people have the wherewithal to make both ends meet would be more productive.
At JGS, our commitment to good governance, ethical conduct and social responsibility is core to our way of doing business. We define CSR as conducting business in ways that provide social, environmental and economic benefits for the communities and geographies where we operate.
The footprint of our community work across the length and breadth of our country. We reach out to more than 1200 people annually and counting.
Our single-minded goal here is to help build model villages that can stand on their own feet. Our focus areas are healthcare, education, sustainable livelihood, infrastructure and espousing social causes.
A beginning has been made but there still miles to go before the huge disparity is bridged and a better future delivered to both the rural and urban poor.
At JGS, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) forms an integral part of the Company’s business activities, it is not philanthropy but purely voluntary - the Company does it beyond any statutory requirements or obligations.
JGS is a responsible corporate citizen, supporting activities related to the welfare of its employees and society. JGS is involved in corporate social responsibility through Akshya Patra and other charitable organizations.
The corporate world cannot afford to remain a mere onlooker when people are afflicted with hunger and malnutrition, diseases and physical infirmity and illiteracy.
JGS have a long tradition in conducting philanthropic activities, supported by Lt. Shri Ramdayal Jhalani. An exercise is underway to integrate all such activities of JGS Health Care across healthcare, education, community development, women empowerment, livelihood creation and environment management segments.
