Dandruff

Indian gooseberry

Rubbing lemon juice over the scalp before taking a bath prevents dandruff.

Take about 100gms of leaves of Margosa (Neem) tree and boil them in a litre of water for 1-2 hours. Allow it to cool and strain through a thin cloth. This decoction is an excellent hair wash and prevents dandruff. Prepare a fresh decoction for every wash.

Finely powder the pods of soap nut acacia and apply it on the scalp with water. Leave for 15 minutes before taking a bath. Using it for several days cures dandruff.

Mix in equal parts of dried Indian gooseberry, Shikakai (pods of soap nut acacia) and Margosa leaves. Grind the mixture to a fine powder. Mix this powder in a litre of water and wash the hair with this solution to effectively get rid of dandruff.
Precaution:
Take adequate measures to prevent the shampoo from running into your eyes. It may cause eye irritation! Discard the remaining portion of this shampoo. Do not store it.
